Climate Alliance is a Campaign Associate of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign, a European Campaign to raise awareness and change the landscape of energy.
Sustainable Energy Europe is a European Commission initiative, which will contribute to achieve the European Union's energy policy targets within the fields of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, clean transport and alternative fuels.
To make it successful, organisations are invited to join the campaign. Within this framework, Climate Alliance will contribute to the promotion of this action through its networks of contacts and communication channels, encourage sustainable energy partnerships and exchange best practices.
Public authorities can also join the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign. Find out more on www.sustenergy.org
European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign
Climate Alliance is also a partner of the European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign.
This campaign seeks to meet the mandate established for the local level in Chapter 28 of the Agenda 21 document, aiming to translate to the European level the outcomes of the Rio World Summit 1992. To mainstream local sustainability throughout Europe, the Campaign fosters the implementation of the 'Aalborg Commitments'. To date, more than 2,500 European local governments from more than 40 European countries have signed the Aalborg Charter, the 1994 founding document of the Campaign.

Climate Alliance and "team red" have agreed on a partnership to offer individual and standardised study tours from experts for experts in Germany and neighbouring countries.
These "Learning Journeys" are organised by team red and focus on energy efficient mobility and traffic safety as well as sustainable tourism. The excursions are targeted at politicians and decision makers in local government as well as managers in urban planning, transport and environmental departments. The participants study best practice examples and receive information first-hand. They benefit from the expertise and experience of others and thus save a lot of time when implementing such projects in their own city or municipality.
