"Buen Vivir" A different societal development concept with global relevance
Alberto Acosta, economist, professor at the University FLACSO, former Minister of Mines and Energy as well as former President of the constitutional assembly / pdf 1.7 MB

Climate change and the financial and poverty crises drive the search for alternatives to the growth compulsion – and that in Latin America too. "Buen Vivir" (good life) relates to indigenous traditions and values. While the concept has hardly been given any serious thought in Europe, the right to a good life has been written into the constitution in Ecuador and Bolivia.
