CO2 Monitoring Tool for local authorities

In Germany cities, municipalities and administrative districts can calculate their CO₂ emissions with the internet-based software ECORegion^smart .

ECORegion^smart was developed by the Swiss company Ecospeed, Climate Alliance and B.&S.U. Beratungs- und Service-Gesellschaft Umwelt mbH (for the European Energy Award®-local authorities).

Essential advantages of the software: standardised methodology and thus comparability, good handling, significance and data evaluation within the municipality.

European Commission officially recognizes ECORegion as efficient tool for the Covenant of Mayors:
