Christiana Figueres is supporting Climate Alliance's city biking campaign "Stadtradeln"

07-09-2012 - Climate Alliance is proud to be supported in its campaign “Stadtradeln” by Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), who declared to be an enthusiastic supporter of this campaign.

Since the beginning, the German cities competition "City Cycling Councillors" (Stadtradeln) encourages citizens to use bicycles in everyday life and to put bike traffic planning on the political agenda.

Christiana Figueres said that: “For us, it’s all about everyone, everywhere going that extra mile to bring down the greenhouse gas emissions. Stadtradeln is literally about going that extra mile (and maybe reducing that extra kilo) by bike! It’s a fantastic initiative that’s right up our alley and challenges us to get regular exercise in the lovely city of Bonn, where almost everything is within reach by bike. Given the responsibilities of United Nations Bonn, we are proud to participate in Stadtradeln 2012! Happy biking
